Mission: Failed... Miserably!

Well mom hasn't been too good at keeping this updated. I am now 4 months old for those of you who can't keep count :) HA ... As soon as dad made it back from D.C. we went to our family reunion in AL, where I met my only great grandma and pa on my mommy's side of the family. Aunts and Uncles showered me with praise and kisses. Dad's learning my routine and what cry means what while I am re-learning what he looks like with facial hair. The doctor told mom and dad at my last appointment to try cereal to help put a little weight on me ... as you see, that didn't go so well! Silly parents, I don't want that :) I have also found my feet and love to play with them and am trying very hard to stick my big toe in my mouth (see pics in slie dshow). Well, not much time left here in TX until we move to KY for 6 months. Anxious to see this place mom keeps talking about with something called the "Amish"! :) Excited to hear about my new cousins Heidi and baby Hensley and ready to meet all the Murphy family in December. My Beautiful New Ears

So mom finally took the plunge after much contemplation and got my ears pierced. GG pierced mommy's ears at an early age so mom did the same.

Done! Mommy came prepared and brought a bottle for me to have as soon as I got done! I don't even notice them now but I like my new bling bling :)

10 Weeks

Hello Everyone! I am 10 weeks tomorrow :) I have had a rough couple of weeks. Mom has had to take me to several different doctors to find the right pediatrician since my original doctor over-prescribed an acid reflux medicine for me. Yes, that's right, I have reflux. Mom has been telling my doctor the symptoms I have been having since week 1 but she just now told mom that I might have GERD. They want to do several procedures but mom and my new doctor agree that we should let the medicine try out for a few weeks first. Dad is already back in D.C. but mom and I are looking forward to visiting him in a few short weeks! Check out the new Easter and 9 Weeks slide show to see updated pictures of me :)

I'm 7 weeks old!

Holding My Head Up

Mommy says I am super smart because I like to stand on her tummy (with a little support of course!) and I am holding my head up really well ... my neck muscles get tired though so I can't do it for real long :) I hear my mommy's voice and turn to find her but I also like checking out those that are holding me. I smile at almost everyone and everything too! I have great hand-eye coordination since I can reach up and grab my pacifier, pull it out and hold on to it ... I can almost stick it back in my mouth by myself too :) Daddy's coming home soon so mommy continues to play his voice for me and she made my little blanket smell like him. I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow, mommy says I am already not little anymore ... what's that supposed to mean? I'm still a baby! :)

I'm 1 month old today!

Today I turned one month old, and mommy was happy but sad at the same time... something about how quick I am growing and her missing daddy, but he'll be back soon. Tomorrow I have a doctor's visit and mom keeps saying something about a shot, but that won't be happening if I get any say in the matter! Mom and GG started taking pictures of me so keep looking at the albums, especially the 1 month album, as we'll be taking a few each day this week then adding them !
